We're pleased to announce a new monthly electronic Retiree Account Statement (eRAS) is now available on myPay.

With your eRAS, you now have the convenience of viewing your account statement every month and managing your account all in one place -- myPay.  Your eRAS provides a complete summary of your pay, deductions and benefits.  It includes information about your allotments, income tax withholdings, direct deposit and a Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) counter that shows plan members how much longer they have to pay premiums.  It will be available by the first of every month.

Click the link below to log in and access your first monthly eRAS.

PAY DATE CHANGE FOR MILITARY RETIREES

A change in the law means military retirees will receive their September and December pay a few days earlier this year. The 2011 National Defense Authorization Act requires DFAS to process retired pay by the first day of the month. When that day falls on a weekend or national holiday, the pay date is moved to the previous business day.

In 2011, this means that the payments normally scheduled for Oct. 3 will be issued Sept. 30 and payments normally scheduled for Jan. 3, 2012, will issued Dec. 30, 2011.

As a result of the second payment in December, retirees will receive a total of 13 pay checks instead of 12 in the 2011 tax year, which may increase the tax liability for some.
